I was simply going to write a short post about needing to take a break. I don’t think I can stop with the daily sketches, that behavior is stuck. I needed to take a break from the thought of sharing all the drawings I have now. There are so many sketches on everything and I’m overwhelmed this week.
I saw a video in the endless scroll with an English fella talking about how he doesn’t care to see the art an AI was told to make. That he wants to see art made by others similar to him, a fellow creature, wondering thoughts. This person went on to describe how they are so thrilled that others create and have thoughts behind those eyes that even poetry of questionable quality is precious.
I appreciate this thought, that art is a window into our minds. The voids of creation we each carry. Poetry can come from the whispers in the void of that space. The art and things we create here, came from this empty void within each of us. I suppose others don’t use mind in this context. I think the man in the video was talking about how art lets us see “the soul”.
Art is like a medicine that can be delivered across planes of reality. Between the worlds of our minds.
